The first Parker branded ballpoint known as the Jotter was introduced in 1954. The first Parker 51 ballpoint appeared six months later.
Whilst the original Jotter used an actuating button to operate the mechanism, the 51 Jotter was fitted with Parker’s innovative barrel mechanism. The first connectors were made of a threaded metal design and later models employed a plastic connector.
